As a picker, you never know what you are going to get. I found this on Marketplace and the guy was nice enough to drop it off. What I thought was just chipped paint was broken veneer. There was no patching that could fix it, I had to remove the veneer off the entire piece. Which made me lose the beautiful front. Which took an insane amount of time and I will NEVER get my money back selling this piece. It has been in my garage since June, about 98% finished, and I am looking for a place in my house because it was such a hard job. I will probably sell it, and then swear off veneer for the rest of my life!!

This is such a difficult area to take a picture of, but one of my favorite places to decorate! This is our mud room and it is a huge mess. We have the cat's box in here, along with her cat tree. Fifty million muck boots. All of our rain gear. A mud room isn't supposed to be pretty, right? I try to decorate this space so it pulls the eye up from all of the mess!

I really struggle this time of year. I have suffered from SAD for about 10 years now, and December through March is the worst of it. It makes celebrating the Holidays very difficult, but I try to swallow my depression and get through the dreary days. I know most of you LOVE this time of year, and I am sometimes so jealous. My mind is a ticking time bomb with anxiety, missing my mom and trying to keep people happy! For those that deal with SAD (or depression in general) and find the Holidays taxing...you are not alone. Many thoughts to you, and if you are okay in sharing your story, go ahead. Merry week before Christmas. We will get through this!!

The great thing about green and white is you can leave it up AALLL winter long!! If you are like me, I hate the emptiness of my house after the Holidays. The lights twinkling, the dreamy colors....I say leave it up until February! 

There is a lot to take in here, but I wanted to share the joys of my job. Quite a few items in here are from auctions, including that fantastic picture over the fireplace. It BARELY fit, which means it was meant to be...right? I also snagged the sleigh from my booth, because...well...look at it. I still haven't figured out how to start my gas fireplace, so we STILL haven't used it. 🤣 This room will be seeing a makeover this year. Right now it's got tons of furniture in it along with a desk where I do my inventory. I am showing you the angle that doesn't show the mess of a room that it really is!

I had so much fun with my bedroom this year. This is the first time I have been able to decorate I think...ever. I am usually such a lover of neutrals, but needed a pop of color this year!
